Are we using smartphones too much?

The arrival of smartphone has changed our lives significantly in the way that we may or may not be appreciated.

It changes how we interact and connect with each other from face-to-face to phone-to-phone.

On one hand, we may have fewer interactions in person even when we’re right next to each other physically. But on the other hand, we may have more interactions though when we’re apart.

Just like everything in your life, we all need to find the right balance and device-free time is as important as work-life balance.

For a monent, let’s turn away from the screen and say ”I love you!” to your loved ones!

Mindfulness is the psychological process of bringing one's attention to experiences occurring in the present moment, which can be developed through the practice of meditation and other training.

The term "mindfulness" is a translation of the Pali term sati, which is a significant element of Buddhist traditions.

Here’s a simple way to start your medition at home!

Do meditation your own way. Just sit comfortably. Close your eyes. Simply breathe naturally. Focus your attention on the breath and on how the body moves with each inhalation and exhalation.

Meditation is a habitual process of training your mind to focus and redirect your thoughts with several science-based health benefits. It reduces stress, controls your anxiety, promotes emotional health, enhances self-awareness, lengthens attention span, may reduce age-related memory loss, can generate kindness, may help fight addictions, improves sleep and help control pain. Small Change. Big Impact.

”Everyone can do simple things to make a difference, and every little bit really does count.” - Stella McCartney

If you use cash, I’m sure you get change every single day. I used to throw all coins into my bag as my wallet didn’t have a coin holder. Then what happened was I could not get to use any of them as they scattered around in my bag. I ended up having so many coins that I could feel the weight. To get rid of the coins, I basically had to remove everything in my bag, picked up each coin one by one, put them in my coin jar, then got everything else back into my bag. This loop has been continued forever until... I got my separate coin purse.

With a coin purse, I can put the change all in one place and use them when needed. When it’s full, I just dropped the whole purse into my coin jar and that’s it!

Believe it or not, now I feel much more organized and be in control of my life.

Often it’s the small changes that make a big impact in your life. It’s the small changes that make a big difference. It’s the small changes that eventually add up to huge results just like the small change that can quickly add up to your savings.

Small change really does have a big impact, at least for me. That’s my story. What’s yours?
